Light.

The first burn sets the memory. Let the wax melt right to the edge, two to three hours, so it burns evenly for the rest of its life.

Bloom.

As the pool warms, the heart opens. Rose, fig leaf or oud rises into the room and stays there between burns.

Linger.

The base notes hold on the air long after the lid goes back on. A clean, even burn down to the last centimetre.

Keep.

The flame is out. The vessel stays. Wash it warm and give it a second life on your shelf.

The Vessel

Made to burn.
Made to keep.

Each candle is poured into a matte ceramic vessel with a fitted lid, glazed in charcoal, rose clay or sage. When the wax is gone, it stays on the shelf for matches, brushes or a single dried stem.

The ritual

Four habits that give you every one of the fifty hours, and a cleaner, brighter scent throw.

  1. i.

    First light

Burn for two to three hours the first time, until the melt pool reaches the edge of the vessel.

  2. ii.

    Trim the wick

Trim to 5 mm before every lighting for a calm flame and no soot on the ceramic.

  3. iii.

    Four hours, then rest

Extinguish after four hours and let the wax set before you light it again.

  4. iv.

    Lid on

Place the lid back once the flame is out. It keeps the scent in and the dust off.
